Okay...no hot water in the building - again. I was told via text from the landlord that there was hot water. There was - for a few minutes this morning. Having him take care of the problem on Tuesday sucks. Really? Like - I want to take cold showers?
*sigh*
The psycho bitch upstairs is pissing me off too, with her cussin' and screamin'. Sometimes I wish that she would just jump out of one of her windows to her inglorious death.
I really need to update/finish some stuff here in my journal. I've been so busy offline, with work, family, other writing, etc. that I've neglected my VR stuff.
Looking over all of the entries in my serial story here, it's funny how a few of the characters in it carry over into the stuff that I'm writing now. I also see how I've improved - a little - with my writing.
I plan on publishing all of it one day!
Worked off and on during the summer session, which was pretty cool. Now that the fall semester is here? Ugh. The cafeteria is still not ready, and one inspection gave us a big fat NO. (i.e. broken countertops, water not getting hot enough, etc). We may be open in another week or two, so for now, we're doing all of the food prep in the campus bistro's kitchens, then rolling everything over in huge hot boxes. Well - I'm not cooking or rolling shit. I'm stuck in a tiny kiosk area with the cashier I got into a fight with earlier this year, selling the shit. (Her cray-cray ass is behaving, but believe it or not, I still haven't got a decision on my workplace complaint. I'm not trying to get her fired, but I also don't want her to go bat shit again, 'cause then I may have to hurt her by planting my size nine foot up her scrawny ass)...
As we're short-staffed - we should have four cashiers, plus our supervisor, and it's only two cashiers and the super (Boss #2) - we're getting our asses beat. Tired, sore, etc. Even the cray-cray one is working, which shows how short-handed we are. I don't even get afternoon breaks anymore, and have to shut down, clean, and put away a ton of shit after closing by myself most of the time.
Customers - staff and students - are cool for the most part, but every now and then you get an asshole or two...or three...hell - around ten a day. If I hear one more person whine about not being able to get the full range of what we usually offer, I may go bat shit myself. It's like - 'We're open and doing our best to get you whiny greedy mother fuckas' fed. Shut the fuck up already...'
And this is only the second week of school.
